I saw young kids practicing walking on the snow, under the watchful eye of their teachers.

I realized why Sapporo people walk on snow so effortlessly- sometimes even in sneakers, hands in their pockets- while I always stumble through it despite being armored in winter boots and even ice grippers. They are the elite snow-walkers, having trained from such an early age.
