Today, we got three big, whole pumpkins from Kitagas (officially Hokkaido Gas Co., Ltd.) in exchange for the loyalty points we’d saved.
In early summer, we received a monstrous bunch of the thickest asparagus we had ever seen, so this is our second gift from the utility company.
Just like the asparagus, these pumpkins sent by the company are top quality. Look at how crumbly they look when cooked!
Actually, our gas bills have been lower here than when we lived in Fukuoka, probably thanks to the thick walls and double-glazed windows of this flat. So we’re like: "Are you really sure it’s OK to give us such a generous gift?!"
