Today's Harvest

Open 4 days a week

 Today's finds:

  • The pick-your-own farm will stay open until the end of October.
  • Early-bird visitors had already picked a lot before I arrived.
  • There are fewer open days than before.

My harvest today:

  • 4 tomatoes,
  • 6 okras,
  • 1 eggplant,
  • 1 pepper, and
  • 6 mini tomatoes

I was charged 700 yen altogether, once again. I have paid the same amount three times in a row. My suspicion deepens that they charge 700 yen no matter what or how much I buy, but I saw someone in front of me paying 2,000 yen. So there seems to be some mysterious criteria in their pricing system...

And the lady at the farm gave me:

  • 1 more eggplant, and
  • 1 more pepper
    700-yen worth
700 yen isn't super cheap for a single vegetable run, but with these freebies, I’m confused—did I pay a premium for freshness, or did I actually get a good bargain?
