Today, I bought the broccoli featured in Cho-co-tto, a monthly free magazine published by Coop Sapporo.
The magazine highlights local producers in rich detail, always presenting their stories in a compelling light that makes the products even more appealing.
This particular broccoli was introduced as "the broccoli the farmer himself wants to eat," complete with his personal background and core philosophy. Anyone reading the article would be tempted to try it. A powerful storytelling strategy.
As for the taste? Well, broccoli is broccoli, after all.
Still, I’m genuinely glad I can get a broccoli or a cabbage for under 200 yen here in the summer. They can cost an outrageous 400 yen or more in Fukuoka during hotter months.
